According to the degrees on my wall, I am a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Myrtle C. Means.
But that title does not even begin to cut it. Although you will not find it on my resume, cooking is just one of my many specialties.

I have many roles: Psychologist, Sexologist, teacher, mother, lover, friend, sister, daughter…and now, chef. I have created The Recipe for Ecstasy-a book that integrates developmental theories with savory recipes for ecstasy – down home recipes crafted by average women. What do women recollect about their most sexually satisfying experience?  It’s quite scrumptious to read.  What do women’s recollections tell us about the nature of love, sexuality, and relationships?  The elements of ecstasy can be defined, improved upon, and sought after.   The Recipe for Ecstasy – What Women Want: Sexual and Relationship Satisfaction provides the necessary ingredients for a life of gratification. Written with chocolate flavor, African-American women will devour it, and the men who want to have the inside scoop will swallow it whole. Like many ethnic dishes, this recipe will satisfy the palette of women from various cultures.  So if you want something delicious it is for you. If you can read, you can cook!

 

You may be wondering why I chose to integrate food and sex? There are no two things more essential to the survival of man than food and sexuality. It is how we grow our bodies and our families. You are what you eat. So think about who and what you feed on. Let me take you on a personal journey of introspection. Use your senses to discover what real love looks like, sounds like, smells like, feels like, and yes, tastes like.   The first book is done, and waiting for you to peak inside. So what will I write about now? I am going to tell you What’s Cooking in the Kitchen. This blog will keep you up to date about hot topics such as: How to Keep it Hot, The Cycles of Love, 2 Important Ingredients for a Successful Relationship.

 

My mind is always percolating. I am working on books 2 and 3.  A male companion book- The Recipe for Ecstasy What Men Want: Sexual and Relationship Satisfaction is in the making.  I am collecting data on survey monkey.com (www.surveymonkey.com/s/SexandRelateSatisfaction). So if you are a man, got a man, or know a man, send him my way.  The same survey can also be completed by women who want to be in the couple’s version of The Recipe for Ecstasy.  We have lots to talk about.
